    I would have to attribute this to free will. Not exactly a catholic exemplar, but free will seems to make the most sense. Diseases existence just seems attributable to people's lack of knowledge or care in choosing hygiene.

    If God The Creator hadn't wanted it to be reality, He wouldn't have created it. …..since He did, it has to be because He wants it as a tool to realize and fulfill His purposes/plan/will.
